Sax Shepherd's Jorogumo Jewelry/Accessory/Shoe set, for the Drowgirl in every one of us.

PUNY PALE FACED SURFACE-WORLDERS!

We, the Dark Elves of the Undercaves, approve of the Sax Shepherd Jorogumo Jewelry/Accessory/Shoe set.  It is an attractive homage to all things Spider Queen-y, including our Goddess Denise.  Who strangely prefers business attire instead of nipple covers and jewelry as lingerie, but never mind that.  (Inanna Staff from Tekeli-li)

The one quibble, we the great Dark Elves of the Undercaves, do not like is the fact that this set is currently a Gacha set. There are both common huds with few colors and a Rare Hud with more colors. There are a total of 6 metal/shoe color options and 12 jewel options.  The shoes are for the Slink High feet and you'll use the footshape that comes with the feet.  Any great Dark Elf of the Undercaves would want the Rare HUD.  Because after all, as that pale shiny-faced redheaded fashionista says: How many colors do you need?  All of them.

The ensemble has the following pieces:  Crown, Choker,  Anklets Left and Right, Spider Anklets left and right, Armbands left and right, Belly gem, Belt, Nipple covers, Bracelet, Earrings, Ring, and Shoes.

Those Nipple Covers are Maitreya body compatible, you might have to adjust manually a touch if  you don't use a Maitreya body.  (One of the reasons I don't have a Maitreya body is that I'd have to go skin shopping.....again.)  That is the Pink Fuel Drow skin in Night.  Hair is Truth Thalia.


As I said, the stilettos are for the Slink High feet and are modern in style.  Your traditional supermodel-y stiletto sandal...if said supermodel was a Dark Elf.  The funny thing is, most traditional depictions of dark elves does make them look a touch supermodel-y.  In fact, IIRC Dark Elven Priestesses of Eilistraee (of the Dungeons and Dragons Forgotten Realms milieu) wear even LESS than this.

And just so you know, there will be no peace with you Surface-Worlders while that pale Shiny-faced red-haired fashionista named CC lives. She told our Matron Mother of Menace, Tiffany, that she should put on a cover up while shopping.  Yes, Our Goddess Denise said the same thing, but no surface-dweller will comment on our tendency to wear as little as possible!  It's a Dark Elf thing, that you Surface-worlders do not understand.  We will rule you all, and bring representative democracy!  Matriarchal Representative Democracy mind you, we're still The Great Dark Elves of the Undercaves.

 FYI, "jorogumo" is a japanese term for what in western terms would be described as spider-queens.  Half spider, half women.  Practically every video game or tabletop RPG has them.  Llolth, the Spider-Demon Queen Goddess of the Drow in Dungeons and Dragons, Cydaea of Diablo 3, The Spider-witch in Ghostbusters the Video Game are all of the same mythic cloth that inspired this set.

Erratic Trisha and Sax Shepherd Aphrodite Jewelry and Shoes.

I wanted to show off the Erratic Trisha dress and the Sax Shepherd Aphrodite jewelry and shoes.  I decided to wear the white version of the Trisha and bring Pink Fuel skin wearing, "Lutefisk" me up to bat.  I was playing around with windlight, graphics settings and whatnot on location.  Didn't quite get the lighting right, probably needed a bit of warmth in the lighting, even if the hair shadows turned out well.  Yes, yes, these two pictures are gaussed and glowed, glamour blog style.

These two pictures were taken at one of the pavilion builds the Boudoir girls have for sale.

Now for normal pictures where you can actually get a better look at the clothing. Trisha is a short supermodel-y party dress with a folded-ruffle bodice.  I liked the various colors enough to fatpack it, it's the sort of dress I'll get enough use out of to justify that, and the 13 color fatpack was only 995L$ when the singles are 295L$ each.  With that much differential, I just threw my L$ at the fatpack.

These pictures came across as a sort of "Daenerys from Game of Thrones crossed with 90's supermodel Claudia Schiffer".  Partly because I chose this Truth Thalia hair, which also comes with a crown, which I am not wearing.

Here you can see the headpiece, choker and big mesh earrings of the Aphrodite jewelry set.  I set it to pearl for these pictures but it has many more jewel options and four metals.  It also has drop earrings if you don't want these big glamour-girl ones.  The Decadence set with all the options is 1999L$.  Even shopaholic me, said "ouch" when I clicked the pay button for it, but it's a versatile evening set which will serve you well along side SSD's Spirit of Giving sets.

Bracelet options for both left and right wrists and a cocktail ring, all with the same jewel and metal options.   You'll notice the left and right bracelets are slightly  different in style as well so they're not super matchy, you can wear them both if you want.

And these are the Aphrodite evening sandal, same jewel options as the jewelry and many shoe colors...at least in the WDP (whole damn pack).  That pack is 1999L$.   That's 9 base shoe colors, 4 metal colors and plenty of jewel colors for a nice elegant evening sandal that will serve  those duties well alongside the SSD Mata Hari's. Yes, I know, I cringed at paying 1999L$ for a jewelry set but don't complain about throwing thousands of L$ at shoes.   But I have a shoe thing, runs in the family.  You can also get singles or Bridal, Decadence or basic packs.   But really, it's shoes, you want all the colors.  As I say, "How many colors do I need of the shoes?"  "All Of Them".  All The Shoes Are Belong To Us.

They're for the Slink High feet, so that's probably the equivalent of a RL 140mm heel at least.  Supermodel shoes in RL.  Of course, in "tekki-wiki" SL, Supermodel is YOU.  Ha, I kill me.

But if you're really smart, and pay close attention to the vendors, what you'll do is get the COMBINED shoe/jewelry Deluxe WDP pack, which will only cost you 2999L$, a much better deal.  If only I had seen that vendor for that deal before I bought the separate packs.  I facepalmed.

Berry's SL Yearbook Smile Challenge

As I say, Berry Makes Me Blog, this time with a Yearbook style picture theme for her Monday Meme.   I imagine this is how "Ms. CC" would have looked in High School.  This is the kind of girl I wanted to be like when I was young. Preppy-feminine.  I'd have killed to look like this then.

  Sweater from Fashionably Dead, Skirt from Jane, tights from Izzie's, Flats from Ingenue, Glasses from Seburo, Hair is Sandy from Wasabi Pills, Skin is Pink Fuel Harley with the Rose lipstick (mouth version).  I went with Pink Fuel because I look younger with it.

I'd have preferred a classic black loafer but couldn't find a good one. Here's a full length shot of the outfit.

It was a warm day after a short and bitter cold snap, and Lutefisk decided to go window shopping.  Even though it was fall, Lutefisk was in one of her "pink moods".  She looked good in pink.  She decided to wear a pink and white coat over a white top and pink miniskirt with very cute pink booties.  She felt very pink, and very cute. It was a brisk day, but to a girl like her used to yard high snowdrifts and 20 below 0 degrees Fahrenheit temperatures back in Minnesnowta, it might as well be tropical.

But that didn't mean she wouldn't partake of hot chocolate.  She'd never turn down that, oh gosh no.

Sitting on a bench and people watching as the leaves fell was always fun, ja.

As soon as I saw the Mutresse Nina, available at Fameshed, mentioned somewhere, my first thought was.  "Oh, I like that, the underskirt is short, but that is a very cute urban-fashionista look.  The booties are cute too, I'd better check it out."  And then I saw it on a hostess at the Blarney Stone in Dublin.  And so I did check it out, and so I bought, as it was foretold in Scrolls of Fashionista Wisdom.

Yes, the skirt is short, but really, it's really freaking adorable when worn as an outfit AND the jacket is flared enough that you CAN wear it with pants/jeans when you disable the skirt option.  Yes, you can wear it without the skirt and top parts, it's right in the HUD, which as is usual for Mutresse has multiple color options.   My one complaint is about the color choices....I wish there were even more besides the plethora of options in the HUD. (I want a darker brown/blue/purple/green.  Maybe a winter white/cream, and a lavender)   You can change the color of the buttons, top trip, coat, shirt and skirt all separately.  There are schoolgirl plaid options for the skirt as well.

This "Harlow" hair is from Chemistry, a new brand for me. Saw this on a friend, Rod Urquan-Mayako (a Demon-girl of my acquaintance) in blonde and liked it.  Don't worry, I have it my color.  I had to tint the brown to get it close though, none of the reds are dark enough.   Yes, this is Pink Fuel Harley skin, with the pink gloss and shimmer eyeshadow options and extra blush, and Redgrave lashes.

And here are the Vafla ankle booties, you can change the colors of various parts of them in the HUD. I wouldn't mind having a bootie like this in RL, in fact, this bootie has just earned Mutresse entry into the CC list. One caveat, sole color is for the "entire" sole, including the heel tip.  So you can't have a black "side" of sole, with a red bottom of sole, and black heel tip.  Also it doesn't come in enough colors. I know, I know, I always say they need more colors. (Needs more browns, maybe a camel and cream too.)  Otherwise, this is a capsule wardrobe bootie that will serve you well.

Just to show everyone a more "normal" for me look, here it is in black and red, I added some Izzie's heart tights to "fall it up" a bit.  I think I look a bit Blair Waldorf in Gossip Girl-ish this way.

I was going to do this for April Fools: Teefy Marlene/Marley.

I had this plan you see, to do something fun SL fashion-wise for April Fools day, but I didn't actually get around to doing it. I was going to talk about how from now on I was going to go for a new look.  No more classic glamour CC or even burlesque-y cheesecake CC, but a whole new original CC, and then I was going to post a photo of my new look:

Ha ha ha ha.  For those who haven't figured it out, I'm "doing an impression" of famous fashion blogger "Gogo" of Juicybomb. In fact, that Truth Althea hair is the one she's wearing in her blog header, and she wore this Tee*fy outfit a few weeks ago...except she did the blue and I was surprised she didn't do pink.  She wears a lot of pinks (and creams and whites and pastels in general).  If Gogo was a cupcake she'd be a pink cake with pink frosting...and pink candy sprinkles.  So when I picked it up, for this shoot, I got the Pink.  That's Pink Fuel Harley skin of course.  And yes, I have the hair in my proper red too, it's a piggie bun, I had to have it even though you cannot remove or turn off the headband.  Truth we need a headbandless option too!

Tee*fy Marlene is the Blouse, the skirt is called Marley.  It's very girly cutesy sweet, especially with the schoolgirl collar option.  And yes, the reason I'm using the Ohmai! Steampunk Albino Squirrel is because I can't get the Ohmai! Mochi Bunny that Gogo has sometimes posed with.  It's not like I don't like the squirrel, it's very cute (Look at it's little steampunk goggles!), but it's not quite as cute as the bunny.

If you don't want the schoolgirl collar option you can wear an off the shoulder version of the top without the collar.  Which makes it a cute little party ensemble if worn with non-cutesy non-piggie-bunned hair like this Truth Rowan and with shoes like the Hucci Glynco stilettos  And yes it comes in not-pastel colors.  The rigging is fine too, this is reasonably well done mesh.

Coldlogic, Hucci and some Fashion Annoyances.

Yes, I know, it's been a while.

As has practically every other fashionista on the grid, I've quantum-packed/fatpacked/Willow Packed, several of Coldlogic's fall releases.  I'm going to show off the coats today.  Which will lead to one of the Annoyances.

Here is the Golding coat in  Blue, which I'm wearing with the addons that makes it look like you're wearing a dress underneath.  I thought the blue would look nicer with me being pale blonde haired "Lutefisk" me.

And here is the Davis coat in Onyx......

Yes, they're the same coat...but different colors of it have different names.

So the 16 different color variations of the SAME coat come in 4 separate fatpacks with different names.  There's Golding, Davis, Berner and Tilton.   Which I find annoying because it's the SAME coat....but Coldlogic is constantly doing their naming like that.  Instead giving variants different names they should just use more adjectives like say "Hathaway solids red" or "Hathaway prints red" instead of the current practice.

It's a nice coat, though I do wish there was an actual dress one could wear underneath rather than just the addon bits.

So yes, the lack of color names with the Truth hair is VERY annoying for me.

My spider guest if Harriet the Lady Spider from Caledon, courtesy of Alistair Whybrow. Mon Tissu "Sophomore" bag which is called "Sophmore" in inventory.  That is why designers need a second pair of eyes to double check simple things like that.


I also picked up the Hucci Glynco pump addons to the Slink feet...both the Classic and Nude color fatpacks....because it's the closest thing to the Christian Louboutin Pigalle I've seen in SL.

HUD changeable colors which I find annoying because you can't make outfits with specific colors.  Personally I'd rather just  have every option in the fatpack though I know that would get complicated if the shoe has lots of options.  This one has multiple sole colors...but I stick with the proper red.

With the included foot shape, my feet sunk in the floor, so I had to edit it to add more "height" and "Platform"...this is also why Designers need a second pair of eyes...to catch stuff like that.  Field testing is helpful.  Hosiery is by Luxuria, who has appliers for the Slink Feet....though the term should actually be "applicators"....sighs.

"Flirt"ing Pink Fueled Venus

Yes, I do actually shop now and then in SL.  Sometimes I might even actually blog.  This is more summer style, it's still fairly warm here in the midwest still.  Still warm enough for cute little dresses and slides.

Have a gander.  This is the Miel Peasant Dress, Mesh in muted pastels and neutrals with a color change HUD.  I think it's cute, and youthful, and the lace him is flirty.

Some of you are thinking:  "Lutefisk again?  No blur this time...wait..that's not a Belleza skin and that's one of the Truth Light Blondes the swedish-y one in the new Venus hair with the new vending system... and is that skin a..... Pink Fuel Harley?  zOMG CC!"

Yes, yes it is,  but in Vanilla, not Peach.  (This shade is a touch darker than I want but the next lighter shade is too light)  She made me buy them!   She, being Gogo of Juicybomb.  Well she didn't make me, she doesn't know me from Torley.  But she knows where to get cute stuff and she was showing off this youthful pretty hair, which is currently at Fameshed and is L$1000 for the all color pack.  I've also been wondering what Pink Fuel Harley would look like on me and I had tried the Demo and it was fine, so I gave into the desire and picked up a pack.  Nice price, L$1500.

Yes, it makes me look younger than I normally do, maybe 19-20.  The skin meets my standards and is "Acceptable and CC approved.", though I probably won't wear it often.  The fatpack I got came with plenty of shadow, lid, lippie and gloss options.


 Just so you know I haven't been totally brainwashed by cute baby cheeked blondes with REALLY cute stuff in their blog pictures,  here's me in a "normal for me" color.    However, I can't name the color because they aren't named OR numbered....at all.  Which is a serious flaw in the new system.  I'm a big of fan of "if it's not broke, don't mess with it.", so I actually preferred the actual color names, though it is/was easier to tell which were lighter and darker with the number system.  But this new system does neither, sigh. The hairbases still use the old number system.  I hope Truth fixes it.

That Pink Fuel skin comes with a very nice shiny red gloss, reminds me of the old L'Oreal candy apple red silicone one.   I also picked up Gogo's Juicy Liz shape,  but I didn't like the nose in profile at all, though I did like the body shape.  Didn't see a demo version, I must have overlooked it.


The real reason I'm doing this post is because I'm a child of the 70's/80's.  So that means there's this little part of me that has a weakness for BIG hair, and Candies slides.

Yeah, Sax Shepherd feeds my Squee-powered shoegasm again, though I wish I'd have had these in May.  So it's a Candies style two strap slide for the Slink Medium feet with the traditional Candies style wooden heel/sole with a plethora of HUD options in strap color, sole color insole color, and even Rivet color...really, there are 3 options just for the rivets.

While you can buy some of the colors/options in singles... just get the Whole Damn Pack, really.  Yes the WDP is L$2750, but since the singles are L$399, you save money by just getting the WDP.  You know you want to, and you NEED a plethora of options for your Candies.  Besides, you don't all the options available in the WDP are available in the singles.  I can't imagine how many different singles versions there would be if that was the case... a LOT.   I think these are inspired by the early 80's versions, though my memory is not as good as it was.

All black!  But you can mix and match ANY option, so if you wanted pink with black sole and red footbed....you could do it.

Leopard print and there are even more prints.  I'm having a squee moment just looking at these right now.

And trust me I'm going to wear the red option with black leather jeans and cleavage-y top, just like Sandy on Grease. "Tell me about it, baby!"

Now if Sax does some fall shoes or boots...I can Squee even more.
