Neverwinter PS4

I'm trying Neverwinter on the PS4 out, since it is free to play.  My first impressions are that it is not quite as pretty or as complex as The Elder Scrolls Online, but more player friendly.  Here is my first character, a Paladin.:

My 10th Rezday Party, July 19th 2016

By the way, I WAS threatened with Sticks and The Squid for playing Rick Astley in 2014.

While I sometimes say I wouldn't be in SL without the Shopping Addiction, that's not the ONLY thing.  If it was "just" shopping I wouldn't have stayed in SL either....it's the people.  All the friends and acquaintances I've met, you're one of the reasons SL is special.  And again, you're all welcome to come to the party!

SecondSnaps Studio 3 Mesh Modeling Studio, by Ava Rage

Ava Rage, fashionista (and friend) par excellance has updated her SecondSnaps studio.  As any long time readers would know, her studio replaced my "vintage" Picture Perfect studio from Sabrina Doolittle, though I kept the Picture Perfect pose stand in use because I liked it slightly better than the one in the earlier versions of the SecondSnaps studios......until now.

Basically the studio big buttons to choose and switch between textures, and you can add more via texture sets or make your own.  It also has built in lighting and other features.

But the posestand does something that I don't think any other pose stand in SL does.  You rez it a bit ABOVE your picture taking spot and pose BELOW it.  With other pose stands that you stand ON, if you're wearing a long dress it can get in the way of the buttons to switch poses...but not this one.  They're ABOVE you and they're not tiny little things, so easy to click on.  It has the standard show/hide feature and you can add more poses as usual.

I slapped my 3-axis rotation script that lets me rotate a pose stand at any angle I want with a chat command without having to manually turn it via the edit window.  For example "/7 z 180" rotates the stand 180 degrees for quick pictures of the back of outfits.

All in all the SecondSnaps is the "best selling full-featured entry-level studio since 2011," for very good reasons.  It just "works", doesn't have a high LI, is easy to use, and is inexpensive.  I highly recommend it.

Acquire the SecondSnaps Studio via Marketplace  or via the SecondSnaps in-world store, for only L$350 for studio and pose stand.

The Wild Wife lingerie from United Colors, more lingerie Cheescake with props to Connie Arida

Connie Arida made me buy this "Wild Wife" Lingerie because of a pic she did that the CC Liked. Thankfully, unlike Erratic lingerie, United Colors lingerie is more "reasonably" priced. It's less than HALF the price of an Erratic set, which is a good fair price for lingerie.  Sadly, stockings are not included, but I consider this lingerie to be a better buy than the Erratic Eden set.  There's a Hud that you can change the colors of the trim/straps as well.

League Erin skin, Clawtooth "Audrey H" hair that I have tinted to my proper color (good ole 128/65/0 to the rescue).  I bought the EnVogue hair that Connie was wearing in the picture, but sad to say it is NOT tintable to my proper color.

I'm not sure what shoes these are. Dirty Princess I think.

I think I look like a redheaded Scarlett Johanssen with RBF (Resting Bitch Face)  But I'm ARISTOCRATIC, not angry.  I really need to find a different skin that makes me look less "angry" and more "approachable".  I do think I look good, just in a severe way.

Gaussed and glowed this one up.Thought about picking up some violet eyes for a "Liz Taylor-esque" look, but I didn't get around to doing it.  The "Audrey H" hair reminds me more of her, than the Blessed Audrey.

 The Allure robe has a hud that lets you have it closed, open, or take if off from the hud.

I tapped my high heeled foot on the floor.  My patience is growing thin. And I'm just one of those people who liked being...obeyed.

She's still not here.  Boy was she going to GET IT!  She'd get the Resting Bitch Face for sure...even though some said I always looked Bitchface-y.  But I'm not really angry all the time.... I'm ARISTOCRATIC. Yeah, that's the ticket. Maybe I should pull out the Riding crop, that would show her.

Unseelie Cheesecake, April 2016 edition, starring Erratic lingerie

As I mentioned before, Connie Arida and Strawberry Singh made me buy lingerie.  Well they didn't hold a gun to my head, they just take pretty pictures that make me want to buy stuff.

I picked up the Erratic Eden set, and thought that the white version would look good worn over my Lumae Hecate skin, Unseelie style.  Gotta have my cheesecake for my favorite Steamlands Unseelie couple, Darlingmonster Ember (nicknamed DME) and Solace Fairlady, AKA The Ember-Fairlady's.  When I go Unseelie, I tend to look DME-ish anyway.

To save time, and because I love these shots, I'm posting the raw shots taken with shadows and DOF and whatnot:

After I saw Connie Arida in that ISON bralette in knickers set on flickr, I said to myself as I often do:  "CC Want Pretty."  Strangely, when the Shopping Desire Monkey hits me with the need for what we used to call a "Lemming run" (those are what happens when something becomes popular amongst the Fashionistas and makeupistas of USENET newsgroup alt.fashion and everyone runs out and gets it), I revert to "Third Person Fashion Hulk Speak."

So I  purchased the pretties and then didn't get around to taking pictures of them....until I bought OTHER lingerie, which I can blame on Connie Arida and Strawberry Singh.  They make me buy stuff.....I'm not a shopping addict...nosirree.

So I took pictures but wanted some Charlemagne focused Cheesecake, because I had done some Unseelie cheesecake intended for the Ember-Fairlady's...which will be blogged...sometime.

Anyway, I had found this Nar Zoe (3) skin that reminded me of Charlemagne, which is a touch paler than my usual League Erin, and took pictures:

 I love this lingerie, it's sexy but vintage-y and classy.  There's a HUD for the bralette which lets you change to a sheer style and a sheer with dots option as well. Shoes are Essenz Marseilles, which are sexay, but a touch overpriced IMHO. Essenz "used" to be a budget offering, but not anymore sad to say.  I recommend KC and BabyMonkey for budget shoes these days.


This is the ISON Ethereal gown, which also comes with an option for a sheer upper bodice addition that makes it more "demure", but I prefer this strapless option without the sheer bit.

The hair I'm wearing is Truth Nayeli, one of the few Truth hairs I have in black/white in addition to LightBlondes and my usual reds.  It is one of my favorite sexy updos on the grid, and I recommend getting it or the similar Truth Mayim, which I also have.

I'm also wearing the new Deluxe Slink feet, which have ALL the feet shapes in one attachment.  You use the utilities hud to change feet styles, no more detaching and attaching!  Not only that, but there are TWO new feet styles, a "Ballet" style, that I'm using in the video, and a new KITTEN feet style.  When I first heard of that I went SQUEE, since I adore kitten heels in RL.

The CC's Holiday Office Party Look

Some time back before the holidays I was thinking to myself as I often do, about fashion.  Wait...stop laughing, I'm not always thinking about fashion or shopping in SL!  Anyway, I was thinking:  "What would the CC wear if she had a holiday office party to attend."  I had an outfit in mind, but didn't take any pictures or anything, being lazy, unmotivated to blog and without a lot of time.

But... I follow a few RL fashion blogs, One in particular is Fashion Apocalypse, which is the blog of my favorite curvy fashion blogger, who calls herself "The Lapsed Victorian".  I tend to like what "Lapsy" likes.  She likes the vintage influences, worships Christina Hendricks, and dresses WELL.

Well anyway, a couple of days ago she posted her Christmas day Outfit of the Day which was, "On Fleek", as the kids say these days on their Facingbooks, Tinterests and Pumblr's.  If you follow that link you can see that it's a lovely red dress with vintage influences, ballet neckline and slightly below the knee hemline.  She accesorized it with a nice bag, patterned hosiery and nice shoes.  I LOVED EET!  It reminded me so much of the outfit I was thinking of for "CC" that I decided to post the outfit.  It also reminded me of an outfit I was thinking of for a character in a story that was writing in my head.

Anyway here's the look, taken with shadows, depth of field and whatnot:

That's the Fame dress from Molichino.  Molichino shut down so it's not available anymore sad to say.  But I love this dress and should have shown it on the blog sooner.  It's in my flickr, but not the blog, but I would have sworn that I blogged it, but I guess I didn't.  But it doesn't matter because you can't get it anymore. Sadface, because it works well over the Maitreya Lara body.  The clutch is from CoCo

The hair is Wasabi Pills Jamie, which I wore because it reminded me of "Lapsy's" hair a nice layered mid-length. Jewelry is the Michelle set from Yummy.  Skin is my usual League Erin and eyes are my usual IKON Charmed Eyes in Moor.

The shoes and hosiery I picked up for the look today. I was going to wear my Izzie's tights, but the patterned tights don't have Maitreya appliers.  So I looked on market place for something like the dotted faux-fishnet Lapsy was wearing and found these Polka Tights from The Secret Store, which are perfect for adding a bit of interest to the leg.

The shoes are the Mutresse Volena Spectator style pumps, worn with the SLink High feet, but I'm wearing them with all black options set.

It might not be surprising but I thought about doing a "do's and don'ts" of Holiday Party dressing post last year using RL as a basis for the choices.  One of the pictures I took then is also a good holiday party look.  It's a bit more formal.  You wouldn't wear this one to an office party, unless it was held at a hotel ballroom or something.  This is more a "Dressy holiday party where there will be dancing" look:

The dress is the PurpleMoon Maureen from a couple of years ago. It's vintage inspired with a sort of 50's look to it, but it's classic enough one could wear it to a modern party. It's a nice dress but doesn't play well with mesh bodies sad to say.  I'd kill for an updated version.  I wore it with Truth Mayim hair, and Essenz Zurich pumps.  I do believe that's the same Michelle pearl set from Yummy.  I was wearing Belleza skin back then, of course.

Anyway there you have two nice holiday looks.  Which would work rather well for Valentines Day outfits as well!

Erratic Delice lingerie, co-starring the Maitreya Lara Body, guest starring the Lelutka Karin Head.

First some windlighty, depth of field-y cheesecake on my Dutchie Gustavian Lesbian edition sex be--, I mean my Dutchie Gustavian Lesbian "photoprop" bed! (/me waves to Miss DME and Charlemagne amongst the admirers of CC Cheesecake)

Yes, I forgot to use the ankle lock!  Facepalm moment on my part.

Now for the actual pose stand pictures, still cheesecake though.  I think I resemble my friend LDO in this one:

 Right then, Erratic Delice set, Bra, thong, suspender belt (garter belt for us Yanks), and suspender brief (brief with built in garters), and stockings (with appliers for Maitreya bodies and Slink feet)  Make sure you have the most recent OmniHud 6.1 version of the feet, the stockings require them.  I really can't say more about the lingerie other than it's Erratic, which the glamorous sexpot fashionista types at the Chamber seem to wear.  The fit is good (erratic lingerie also works on non-mesh bodies if you're close to the standard sizes), and it looks REALLY good.  It's frickin shmexy for sure.  You can probably guess I have the fatpack.

I wore it with Truth's new Heloisa hair, a shmexy "windblown supermodel" hair and Hucci's Jacmel pumps

But this post isn't really about the lingerie, it's about the body.  I've been wearing the Maitreya Lara Body for two months now, and can state that I can recommend the body, with a caveat.  That caveat being the lack of fine grained control over the alpha, meaning I can't wear it with some of my mesh items sad to say.  One example being the Steffen Garcia Blair.

Otherwise it works well, is relatively easy to use, and has good support amongst third parties.

 As you can see, I'm also wearing the Karin head, with League Luna head appliers.

Perhaps I shouldn't have picked it up, since I was iffy about the demo. But a couple of friends had been urging me to go ALL mesh with a mesh head, and I wanted to see how it looked with actual League appliers on it so I held my nose at the price (L$2500, I consider it a bit overpriced at that level, I think a 1200 to 1500 price would be more reasonable), and bought the thing, and both sets of the Luna appliers.

Sadly the Luna makeup works much better with blonde hair than red. And you know how I am about my red hair. The lipsticks need a little more work to be more flattering to a redhead.  (As do the Erin makeups) And I'm not sure I like the head, there's something about it when I look at it in profile (from the side) that bothers me.  From the front it's gorgeous, but the side....I have mixed feelings.

Also the head had fewer functions than some other ones I have heard of.  For example there are only two settings for the mouth, closed and slightly open.  Some other heads have animated mouths.  Also lash tinting uses a color picker than some standard presets.  Another caveat involves the included hairbase applier, there aren't enough colors in it and I don't think my favorite hair makers make a hairbase applier for the head yet.

Sadly because of my mixed feelings on this head, I cannot categorically recommend this head, or the other Lelutka heads....yet.  My feelings may change as further updates are made to the head, I hope.

Also, besides LDO, it makes me look like my bacon-loving friend RachelAlivia, who also uses this head, especially with the blonde hair.
