Gothy Cheesecake, in ISON

After I saw Connie Arida in that ISON bralette in knickers set on flickr, I said to myself as I often do:  "CC Want Pretty."  Strangely, when the Shopping Desire Monkey hits me with the need for what we used to call a "Lemming run" (those are what happens when something becomes popular amongst the Fashionistas and makeupistas of USENET newsgroup alt.fashion and everyone runs out and gets it), I revert to "Third Person Fashion Hulk Speak."

So I  purchased the pretties and then didn't get around to taking pictures of them....until I bought OTHER lingerie, which I can blame on Connie Arida and Strawberry Singh.  They make me buy stuff.....I'm not a shopping addict...nosirree.

So I took pictures but wanted some Charlemagne focused Cheesecake, because I had done some Unseelie cheesecake intended for the Ember-Fairlady's...which will be blogged...sometime.

Anyway, I had found this Nar Zoe (3) skin that reminded me of Charlemagne, which is a touch paler than my usual League Erin, and took pictures:

I love this lingerie, it's sexy but vintage-y and classy.  There's a HUD for the bralette which lets you change to a sheer style and a sheer with dots option as well. Shoes are Essenz Marseilles, which are sexay, but a touch overpriced IMHO. Essenz "used" to be a budget offering, but not anymore sad to say.  I recommend KC and BabyMonkey for budget shoes these days.

This is the ISON Ethereal gown, which also comes with an option for a sheer upper bodice addition that makes it more "demure", but I prefer this strapless option without the sheer bit.

The hair I'm wearing is Truth Nayeli, one of the few Truth hairs I have in black/white in addition to LightBlondes and my usual reds.  It is one of my favorite sexy updos on the grid, and I recommend getting it or the similar Truth Mayim, which I also have.

Beer Barrel Goth

I was in one of those moods, trying to figure out what I wanted to wear next....I was actually wearing trousers, a simple shirt and short hair at the time, believe it or not. Donna Upshaw-Bouscario of FE made a suggestof jeans or goth...said I had to get past the "Ice Princess" That made me laugh, because Grace Kelly is one of my style icons.

So I headed into inventory, and remembered I had a recent dress from Silentsparrow, Selador, I first saw it on retro-fashionista Ceejay Writer in Seraph City. It comes with 3 skirt options.
:
The more gothy victoriany steampunky Woofy version. (Thats what it's actually called in inventory, Woofy!) Nice layering effect on the skirt and underskirt.

Circle, your basic circle skirt:

And pencil, which is what Miss Ceejay was wearing when I first saw it and NEEDED it. I so love a good pencil skirt:

You probably noticed there's a pastie option, which is on the undershirt layer, along with the regular low cut pretty bodice. Boobie shot!

I had these antique embossed tall laced boots from Arwen's Creations. Sort of Victoriany sort of steampunky, with a high, but sturdy heel. They are VERY nice and I want them in RL. I have 3 pairs of these and keep intending to go back and the other colors.

With Truth Andrea Hair, which I think of as Counselor Troi hair, and a 5th and Oxford "Fair NightFall 1" skin heavy on the dark eyshadow with fuchsia lips.

When Mrs. Upshaw-Bouscario saw my pictures, she described them as "Beer Barrel Goth", explaining the post title.

BlakOpal Bella Luna

BlakOpal isn't a new store to me, I don't recall ever mentioning them on the blog before. They desbribe themselves best: Victorian, Gothic, Steampunk, and Pirate-wear for Men and women. This is a new Gothy release, Bella Luna

Basically a short crocheted lace minidress with prim bustle lace thingy with red rose accents. Black and red...can't go wrong there...I love the black n red

Moves well too. That's what of my things I look out for, does it look pretty when I'm moving. I'm all about the pretty.

That is very nice work on the bodice, well done indeed.

The stockings, while very squeetastic, are let down by the SL ankles, darn it. I do so love a good patterned stocking (in RL as well).

Those are the Riveted Low ankle boots, a little Western to my taste but not bad at all. Though IMHO it's the pirate-y knee boots to really take the cake in the footwear section at BlakOpal. Mmmm Pirates. In fact, the first time I saw a lady dressed in BlakOpal Pirate gear I immediately thought: "Pretty! CC Want!" And I still haven't got around to it...skin comes first.

The gown was dropped on me by the owner, but I have other blakopal items in my inventory. The skin is a 5th and Oxford Brooke Nightfall. The hair is new, a very "Joan from Mad Men"-ish updo named "Mrs. Kitten 2"from Clawtooth at Tableau

Talia Talamasca's "Schwarzes Kleid und Minuette Avatar"

Taliah Talamasca dropped this deliciously "dead" skin, shape (the Minuette avatar)and clothing ensemble (Schwarzes Kleid), at around Halloween. She knew I like black. Which is true, I like black, I REALLY like black, and now, I also like being "death"ly beautiful:

It's just so corpsey and gothy and fluttery and feathery and BLACK! It comes with those pretty little victorian style shoes and that lovely hair. The skin itself is quite pretty, or at least I think so, and looked great not only on the included shape but on my own usual one. When I put this one I simply had the desire to find some poor desolate sim and sing laments to lost loves. That, and then find Furiae Blackthorne of the Fashion Victim blog and go kill things with her, just for fun.

Available along with lots of other victorian pretties at her store, Wardrobe Trunk.
